The Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society has been around since 1935 and is dedicated to housing all orphaned and neglected animals in the Detroit area. Also committed to dismantling all animal cruelty, they investigated almost 900 reports of animal cruelty in 2016. All animals that come into the Michigan Anti-Cruelty Society (or MACS) is properly taken care of and nursed back to health. No animals are turned away.
