Meow! I am Camille, a cat sitter in Brooklyn, NY

I’m an editor, writer, and cat parent with lots of cat-caring credentials.

I volunteer weekly with an outdoor cat colony in my Greenpoint neighborhood, I had cats growing up in Massachusetts, and my fiance and I have an amazing tabby rescue, Willy, whom we adore. (He's in the header image, lounging, with the help of some silly poolside PhotoShop work.) Before we adopted Willy, my partner and I had senior cats, one of whom lived to be 21.

I’ve also written about cats. Once, I spent a day with TV cat whisperer Jackson Galaxy, and even received an award from the Cat Writers' Association called the Muse Medallion. Meow?

As for *your* precious cat or cats, I will treat your furry friend/friends like the Very Important Felines they are. I will send you photo and text updates after every visit, show the utmost respect to your home, and do my very best to accommodate whatever attention or needs your animals may have. I really, really, really love cats and know little tricks like slow-blinking (and, only if approved, fun treats) that can make them feel more at ease with a new human.

All visits include refreshment of food, litter, and water, along with any play, enrichment, and attention your cat would like. I can also keep an eye out for your mail, water plants (with your directions) and take out your trash, if that's helpful.

LOCATIONS: I'm based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and eager to take clients in Northern Brooklyn, Bushwick, Long Island City, and Sunnyside, which are all easy commutes for me. I'm also happy to cat-sit anywhere within a reasonable walking distance of the G Train (Court Square in Queens to Hoyt-Schermerhorn), the L Train (8th Avenue in Manhattan to Broadway Junction), or the 7 Train (as far east as Woodside, Queens). I don't have access to a car, so it's difficult for me to cover anywhere that isn't walkable from the NYC subway. But feel free to message me! I'm happy to try to accommodate, if at all possible. Note: The map of my coverage area isn't exact, so I may be able to work with you, even if your home isn't on it.

Medical experience: At home, I’ve had a senior diabetic cat with kidney issues who lived to be 21 and an FeLV+ cat who contracted the virus as a kitten, so I have a special place in my heart for kitties with extra challenges. I have lots of experience with insulin injections, special diets, mixing prescriptions and supplements with food, and topical ointments, so I feel very comfortable with any of those requests.

Lastly, I am fully vaccinated and bivalent boosted and always happy to mask up, if that's your preference.

Any questions? Please don't hesitate to ask.
