Meow! I am Ken, a cat sitter in San Francisco, CA

It's Fall, so the Holidays are just around the corner. I look forward to taking care of your special ones while you are away. As soon as you know your travel plans I'm happy to accept bookings.
The sooner you can make your reservations, the better chance that I can accept them. I love extended bookings as it gives me more time to get to know your cats and spoil them.

I've ALWAYS loved cats. We always had dogs when I was a kid. So one day I brought home the most beautiful Siamese cat you could ever find. A couple had a baby and needed to let go of him. I hid him in my room for about a day until my mother found him. She fell in love with him immediately, and no matter how much my father protested, the cat stayed.

I've had 15 cats in 50 years now. They were all rescues of one sort or another. I've raised them from as young as orphaned 4 week-olds, to abandoned 4 year-olds.

They've all lived long happy and healthy lives. The love of my life, Winky died at 20 years old in June of 2019. In July I adopted 2 girls from the SFSPCA, and named them Kitty Carlisle and Peggy Katz. If you are old enough, you get the joke. Sadly, at about 6 months Peggy died from leukemia. It was really devastating to lose 2 cats in such a short time. After a few months we went into quarantine. Kitty Carlisle was bored with just me, and I spotted an adorable little girl on FaceBook who was being fostered in the East Bay. I made arrangements, and adopted little Winnie Harlow shortly after that. People gave me all kinds of advice on how to introduce them to each other. But I come from the farmlands of Nebraska, where we learned simpler approaches. I brought her home, opened the carrier, and let them work it out. Within 24 hours Kitty Carlisle and Winnie Harlow were inseparable.

While I'm no veterinarian, as a retired ICU RN, I know a lot about basic medical issues. In 2000 I did subcutaneous hydration on my 19 year/old cat.

I do not drink, smoke or do any recreational drugs. I love to cook, and lead a very quiet lifestyle. I'd be more than happy playing with your cats, and spending time with them on the couch watching Netflix. Although what we watch would be MY choice. Not theirs.
