Meow! I am Lydia, a cat sitter in San Francisco, CA

Hi there!

For my own peace of mind during these extraordinary times, I have to limit my service radius to areas west of Van Ness, easily reached via the 38 or 5 and no more than one transfer, e.g. 22 to Cow Hollow, 1 on California, or a walk of +/- 1-2 miles each way. I am fully vaccinated and past the two-week period.

I'm a startup entrepreneur who works from home in the Outer Richmond. I share my apartment with Zoe, my little 18-year-old diva who moved with me from New York. I rescued her and her brother, Zack as kittens from a bad adoption situation. Zack became very ill about 5 years ago and I had to make the hard decision to euthanize. I still miss him every day, so I understand the deep attachments we form with our pets.

I grew up on a farm in Kentucky so have been around animals all my life. My parents inspired me to have great respect, love, and empathy for all of them. My pets ranged from a lamb, to a Bantam rooster, to a quarter horse, to dogs and cats, and parakeets. I majored in Biological Sciences at University of Kentucky.

My regard for other species has only grown over the years. I definitely relate to the love and dedication others bestow on their furry family members. I've even volunteered at The Marine Mammal Center and cared for seals and sea lions! That was a great experience and a special privilege.

I'm gentle in administering medications, liquid and pills and if you show me how you manage it with your kitty, I'm comfortable with administering subcutaneous injections, as well. I am meticulous about following your directions and fulfilling your requests. It's that Catholic school education! ;-)

I know how stressful it can be when arranging care for a furry family member. I think it can be even more challenging for cat people, so it's really reassuring to have another cat lover caring for your kitties in your absence as if they were their own. I even flew cross-country with Zoe, my own cat, to take care of an acquaintance's cat while she traveled for six weeks!

Whenever I travel, I always worry if the person is actually spending time with Zoe or just feeding her, topping off water, and leaving right away. You can rest assured that I will spend quality time with your babies, playing, cuddling, snuggling, or just talking to them while giving them their space! Expect daily texts and photos!

PLEASE NOTE - The rates quoted for 20 and 45 minutes are based on 1-2 cats.

If you have 3 or more cats, please choose the 90-minute rate.
If your kitty/ies have special needs or require medication, please choose 45 or 90 minute rate.

This will ensure that there's time to take care of added food, water, and litter needs as well as have some quality play-hang time with each kitteh.
