Meow! I am Holly, a Cat sitter in Seattle , WA

Hi there!
Thank you for checking out my profile. A little about me: I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. When I was 6 years old, my family and I drove 1 hour northeast to Rancho Cucamonga to adopt my first ever pet. A cat. Her name was Blackie (black cat + 6 year old vocabulary..not great). She was a very shy kitten from what I remember but she grew out of it later in life and became a loud, sassy girl who ran the household. She used to wait in my window in my upstairs bedroom for me to walk home from school. I’d see her staring at me as I neared the driveway, quickly jumping down and running downstairs to greet me. She was my favorite thing in the world. She died when she was 14 years old. It was a really tough time for me. I got a tattoo of her paw prints on the top of my foot to commemorate her. I’ll admit, I waited a while to adopt another cat. The healing process was tough and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t trying to replace her. During this gloomy time in my life, I picked up a great hobby. I learned about TNR from an Instagram account titled @myfosterkittens which really inspired me. I started volunteering at Huntington Beach’s local shelter and even got into fostering. Eventually, I knew it was time to adopt another cat. I’ve had Kirra with me now for 3.5 years. I actually moved her with me from Huntington Beach to Seattle when I got into the University of Washington. I think the plane ride was more stressful for me rather than her. She is a petite, black cat with a personality larger than life. I’m happy I waited a bit to adopt because I ended up finding the most perfect cat, for me.
As for my professional life, I currently work at a law firm in the Belletown neighborhood of Seattle as a Legal Assistant. I started back in March of 2020 right after I finished my bachelor’s in criminal justice from UW and it’s been great. I hope to grow within the legal industry and become a paralegal down the road.
If you have any specific questions for me or you’d like to chat, feel free to send me a message. Thanks!
