How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

When I enter my home or another’s, I scan the area for any dangerous items on the floor such as rubber bands, pins, string, etc. I have knowledge of various plants and foods that are toxic to cats and I immediately get rid of them (I will send notice to the owner if this is a concern). Any cleaning products should be safely stored in a cabinet and wiped clean with water on any area a cat may walk on. If there is a mess on the cat, I only wipe them clean with a damp cloth with water. I make sure all doors to the outside are closed and locked. I comfort the animal when there is a noisy storm or fireworks outside.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is probably a mouse wand toy! I love when they chase it around and catch the prey! Very rewarding and entertaining for both the person and the cat.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When I am in the presence of a cat that is timid, I remain calm and confident to reassure them. I let them get used to my presence and let them come to me. I hold out a hand palm up and let them observe my scent. I try to look for these signs of a relaxed and happy cat: Ears up, tail up and curved, and relaxed eyes and hair. I come down and scratch them on the chin with a loving touch to tell them I am a safe being. Treats and play are great bonding skills too! I learn what they do and don’t like when it comes to touch and play.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
