What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have years of experience in pet sitting, caring for kitties of all ages, personalities, and comfort levels. From energetic babies that run the house in packs, to shy kitties that spend the first few visits hiding until we slowly build trust over time, I’ve learned how important patience, consistency, and gentle care truly are. I’ve cared for playful kitties that want nonstop interaction, older kitties that prefer their space & quiet routines, and baby kittens that need extra attention, monitoring, and care. I also have experience caring for foster kitties awaiting their forever homes, which has taught me even more about building trust, reading behavior, and helping nervous or uncertain babies feel safe and comfortable. Some kitties need lots of playtime & affection, while others simply need someone calm, patient, and respectful of their boundaries.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite pet sitting reservations was with an amazing kitty named Charlie. During one visit, I spontaneously grabbed two different canned dinners & jokingly asked, “Charlie, which one do you want for dinner?” To my surprise, Charlie sniffed both options & pawed the canned dinner he preferred. It was honestly such a cute and memorable moment. What made it even more special was that throughout previous visits, Charlie wasn’t very interested in eating when meals were chosen by myself or another sitter. But the moment he “picked” his own dinner, he immediately started eating as soon as I served it. It was such a sweet reminder of how unique and intelligent every pet truly is 🩷🐾
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I take the safety of both your baby & your home very seriously. During every visit I make sure doors, windows, and gates are secure before entering and before leaving the home. I also pay very close attention to behavior, eating habits, litter box activity, and overall wellbeing so I can quickly notice if anything seems unusual. I’m experienced with all types of kitties, including escape artists, shy babies that hide, older kitties that need a slower approach, and kittens that require extra supervision. I always move carefully throughout the home to make sure your baby stays safe and comfortable at all times. I also believe communication is a huge part of safety & security, so I provide regular updates, photos, and check ins for peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is always to care for your baby & home with attentiveness and respect!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
