What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for friends and family for around 10 years. On top of pet sitting, I have fostered and bottle fed abandoned kittens, which is hard but truly rewarding work.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Cats are my favorite animal. I love meeting new kitties and getting to know their unique, individual personalities. It's so rewarding being able to earn a cat's trust. Every visit is a chance to make a new feline friend as well as provide the loving, high quality care they need.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 2 year old cat named Rocky who has a disability called cerebellar hypoplasia. It affects his ability to balance and jump. He is so silly and doesn't know he's different than other cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with a new cat parent, I schedule a meet and greet so I can meet their pets and go over expectations. I ask that they leave me a note/text with detailed instructions of those expectations, as well as emergency contact information. I also make sure to ask if their kitties have any favorite hiding places I should be aware of. During the meet and greet I'll introduce myself to the kitties, pet them if they're comfortable, or just let them sniff me if they're on the timid side.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I am typically available during holidays, so you can trust that your cats will be in safe hands while you enjoy your holiday.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

It's important to respect the boundaries of timid cats and allow their natural curiosity to guide the process. I'll allow them to get accustomed to my scent by letting them sniff my hand and belongings. I don't push them to accept pets too quickly, instead I allow them to approach me when they're comfortable.

Sara was amazing! She was communicative and extremely reliable. One of our cats is elderly and requires medicine 4 times a day and Sara was always on it. We were updated with photos of the cats everyday. And our house looked better than we left it. Anytime we plan to go out of town, definitely will be booking Sara to take care of our little ones.

In the time I've known Sara, I don't know if I've ever met anyone who loves, cares, and is more knowledgeable about cats than her. She is adaptable when it comes to difficult situations and is very prompt, professional, and friendly. My fur babies are like my children, and Sara has always understood that. When I have to be away for days at a time for work, I always know Sara is not only capable but the BEST person for the job of caring for my cats and dog. She quickly bonded with my animals. Sara even helps keep my garden in shape and waters my houseplants- she makes being away from home doable because when I reach out she is quick to respond, send cute pics with my fur babies and update if there is ever any worry or concern. My home and fur babies are in excellent care under Sara’s watch! 💜💜

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
