Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 15 year old cat named Pillow. She got her name because when she was a kitten she was white, fluffy, and would always sleep at the head of the bed. She is a cancer survivor and as a result only has 3 legs. She still lives a happy life and I'm incredibly thankful she is still around.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I've tested a huge variety of cat toys and while they all sound great, few have been a hit with the cats I have known. The thing that has always seemed to work is a long, thin strip of fabric they can chase and sink their claws into.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My keys to handle a timid, anxious cat are 1) slow and deliberate movement 2) limit direct eye contact and don't face them directly 3) spend some time minding my own business in their vicinity so they can experience I'm not an aggressive threat 4) ALWAYS let them smell me before touching them, and don't touch until they approach me and it seems they can handle it 5) start on the cheeks or somewhere not above their head as this can feel threatening 6) sometimes I have accept they aren't ready and need time to hide. It's a different pace for every cat.

Andrew was wonderful. All 3 of my cats connected with him. He even got a scary outside cat to sit on his lap which has never happened with me. He sent me regular pictures. I was so confident that my kitties were having love and attention and hardly missing me.

Andrew is wonderful!! He comes in and lets my cats come to him and get in their sniffs before he interacts. Our orange tabby is usually very aloof with other sitters, but with Andrew he was very engaging and Andrew even allowed him to sit on his lap. He understands that our other cat loves to be brushed, so he makes sure he spends time doing that. The cats are always happy when they see Andrew come in. I feel very comfortable with Andrew and he is easy to work with. I love the photos he sends us, which is comforting when we are away. He is wonderful!

Andrew took the best care of our two 6-month-old kittens. He provided daily updates, including pictures and videos. Our hearts melted when we saw the videos of one jumping up on his leg (like a dog would do) to stretch up for a rub. Andrew is so good with cats. We'll have to plan our future trips around his availability. :)

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
