I have a small private practice with my dad so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests for a friend for your feline. I can also service surrounding areas such as Corona, Eastvale, Riverside etc.
I share my home with six(!) cats, two dogs, two horses, two turtles and a bearded dragon. So animals have always been a huge part of my life and I've always secretly dreamed of being a Cat Whisperer! Just kidding, sort of.
Taking care of animals, especially cats, just adds something of value to my life that I've never been able to find any where else... Hello fellow cat lovers!! Let me introduce myself and tell you a little bit about why you should trust me with your precious fur babies. My name is Tara and I am an attorney here in Norco, California, also known as Horsetown USA!
I have a small private practice with my dad so I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests for a friend for your feline. I can also service surrounding areas such as Corona, Eastvale, Riverside etc.
I share my home with six(!) cats, two dogs, two horses, two turtles and a bearded dragon. So animals have always been a huge part of my life and I've always secretly dreamed of being a Cat Whisperer! Just kidding, sort of.
Taking care of animals, especially cats, just adds something of value to my life that I've never been able to find any where else. And they seem to like me too! I've grown up taking care of cats and have experience raising them from birth right up to helping them across the rainbow bridge. I can handle all different personalities, special feedings and medications (I've given my own cats subcutaneous fluids-with assistance).
And as Meowtel speaker August Odenbaugh said, "the visit isn't over until the medication is in the cat." I understand how important it is for your cat to get his medicine and will do everything in my power to make that happen. And of equal importance, I provide lots of playtime and loads of love!
I can even make your life a little easier too by bringing in packages, watering plants, turning on/off lights etc. so that you can relax and rest easy.
I understand how hard it is to leave your cherished pets. After all, they are part of the family. But let's be honest, cats don't really appreciate travel like we humans do! So let them stay in their familiar surroundings while you do your thing. Enjoy your vacation or time away knowing you will return home to a happy kitty that has been cared for just the way you would do it if you could yourself.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been taking care of cats my whole life! My own of course, but I have also cared for the cats of friends and family members since I was very young. I believe I got my very first kitty when I was 3 years old. Her name was Jezebel and she ignited a life long passion for caring for and being around cats. I started professionally Cat Sitting with Meowtel about three years ago and have built up quite a nice group of repeat clients. I enjoy meeting new ones as well and am always looking forward to a first visit with a brand new kitty client! It has been such a great experience I can't wait to see what adventures the future holds!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I most enjoy getting to know the unique and very individual personalities of the kitties I sit for. It amazes me how each cat can have such a totally different character than another. Figuring these personalities out and winning them over is something I really enjoy. Making the cat feel that it's routine is undisturbed is so important too. Cats value consistency and stability and will be happiest if there are as few changes from their daily normal as possible. I also feel a sense of pride knowing that I'm allowing the cat parents to relax and have a little more enjoyable vacation because they trust me to care for their fur babies while they are away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have 6 cats of my own! I'm not real sure how that happened over the years lol, we just sort of found each other. First we have Rascal, a 16 year old tortoise shell with medium long hair, that lives up to his name everyday. Next up is Motor Mama (named after her loud purring) who is also 16 and Rascal's cousin. We also have Callie, 14, a petite female Calico. She was given to us by my daughter's best friend because she was allergic to her. Next is Marble, 12, our mini Bengal cat (not really but she looks like one). And finally, The Boys, 10, Thunder and Shadow. These two brothers were born outside on our property and abandoned by their mama so we took them in. Full house!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone that you trust and are comfortable with! These are your fur babies and your home. You want to be able to relax and enjoy your vacation knowing your sitter is handling everything like a pro back at home.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am usually available during the holidays. All of my family lives nearby so I am almost always able to work in my Cat Sitting reservations around any personal holiday plans that I may have. Besides, what better way to spend the holidays than with cats?!🙂
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When I come across a kitty that is particularly timid or anxious I work with them on their schedule. It's very important not to rush-that just adds to the cat's anxiety. Let the cat come to you. Treats or catnip often help. Sometimes I just lie down on the floor (if for example it's a cat hiding under a bed) and softly talk to her so she gets used to my voice and sees that I mean no harm. Overtime they usually warm up. And if they don't, I try not to take it personally and just care for them as best I can without adding more to their anxiety. This might mean talking calmly to them but keeping my distance so they don't feel threatened.

She updated us every time she went to visit our kitties and gave us detailed reports on what was going on. she also sent pictures each time so we could see our fur babies that we missed so much! She did extra tasks such as bringing in packages and bringing in our trash cans for us. When we returned we had a cute card waiting for us from her which was so nice. We were nervous to leave since one of our cats had been sick days prior to us leaving but Tara made sure to keep an extra eye out for her! We are grateful for such a good experience with Tara.

She also left detailed updates about how my cat was doing and the status of the food, water, and litter box after each visit. I was up in the mountains with little to no cell service, so we didn’t communicate much during the trip, but those photos and updates were exactly what I needed to know everything was going well at home. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Norco cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Tara is amazing. I have two cats; one is a senior (she just turned 21) who needs insulin injections twice a day. At first, I was very worried about leaving her for overnight trips. I found Meowtell and started researching. I came across Tara, and her profile made me feel safe enough to meet with her.
