I’m Alexis, and I’ve been surrounded by cats my entire life – they’ve always had a special place in my heart. I believe every cat has a unique personality, and I take great pride in understanding each one’s quirks, needs, and preferences. Building trust with a cat takes patience, and I’m more than happy to give them the time and care they need to feel comfortable and safe.
In addition to caring for my own fur babies, I also spend my free time working with feral kittens and fostering cats in need of a loving home. I’ve been volunteering in cat rescue for over 4 years, so I’m experienced with everything from socializing shy kittens to administering medication and offering medical care when needed.
Whether your cat is an affectionate cuddle bug or a bit more independent, I’ll make sure they’re well taken care of. You can trust that your cat will get the attention, love, and care they deserve – and I’ll always treat them like my own!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting for over 10 years, and during that time, I’ve had the pleasure of caring for all types of cats, from timid and shy ones to independent and overly affectionate furballs. I’ve learned that the key to building a strong bond with any cat is patience, time, and trust. Every cat is unique, and I always take the time to understand their individual needs and personality. Whether a cat is a bit cautious or loves to cuddle, I make sure they feel comfortable and loved during my visits.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love learning about their personalities, whether they're playful and curious, independent, or extra affectionate. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a cat slowly warm up to me and feel comfortable in my presence. I also find joy in knowing that I’m providing peace of mind for cat owners, knowing their fur babies are being well cared for.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Ensuring the safety and security of both the cats and the home is my top priority while cat sitting. I always follow the owner's instructions carefully, whether it’s about routines, special care instructions, or safety precautions. I also make sure to communicate regularly with the cat owners, updating them on how their cat is doing and any concerns I might have. I believe in keeping an open line of communication so that both the cat and the owners feel secure and at ease during my time as their sitter.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

San Pablo cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $40.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
