I’m Emily, I have one 4-year old cat named Eggy who is the light of my life. He’s a silly cuddle bug and I’m so grateful to have him. I work from home five days a week and have some time available to pet sit for other cat lovers. I’ve had Eggy since he was a baby, but I’ve been around cats and animals all throughout my life and enjoy being with them. I have also interacted with all different personality-types when it comes to cats, and I feel comfortable doing so. In my free time, I read, workout, and make pottery. 😊

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I do! I have one grey and white cat named Eggy. I’ve had him since he was a baby (he’s 4 now) and I absolutely love spending time with him.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I’d first like to meet the cat parent and their cat(s), just to establish a better idea of what the cats are like and their needs. I think it’s way easier to talk in person for the initial meeting, it gives me a better idea of what to expect.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I had a cat growing up that unfortunately had a very traumatic background when my family took her in. She was very timid, and really only stayed in her safe spaces in our home. She did have favorite toys however, and would come out to play with them as soon as she heard the first jingle. I think patience, a calm demeanor, and persistence goes a long way.

I’m so grateful for the wonderful care my cats received while I was away! Emily was very attentive and responsive, sending daily photo updates and making sure my chronically ill cat received her daily inhaler. It was good to know my kitties were well cared for while I was out of town, I would recommend Emily to anyone looking for a pet sitter!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Branford cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Emily is hands-down the best cat sitter you could ask for—her warmth, dependability, and true love for cats make her a gem. I’ve known her for ten years, and her knack for caring shines through every time. When she watched my cat, Lola, for a week while I was away, I saw just how amazing she is. Lola’s super picky and shy, but Emily got her purring in no time. She sent me constant photos and videos—Lola napping in a sunny spot, chasing her feather toy, or even just staring at Emily like they were best buds. On top of that, Emily left me a detailed journal, jotting down Lola’s daily routine: what she ate, how she played, even her quirky moments like batting at a stray sock.
