As a sitter for your little fur-babies, you can expect the utmost care to their vital needs: food, water, play!
For those with more skittish kitties, fret not, I will do everything in my power to make them feel safe and secure in their own home, even if it means sitting on the floor and waiting patiently for them to approach on their own volitation. I have earned the trust of many a timid cat to the point of lap snuggles and biscuits.
I am comfortable administering basic medications (pills, ear drops, eye drops). Please keep in mind that this is only if the cat is comfort with me doing so - medication is stressful enough, no need to add an unliked stranger into the mix. We'll let the complimentary Meet-and-Greet decide that fate. I have faith that it'll all work out perfectly ❤️

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
My cat sitting experience to date has been limited to friends and family, but has spanned the length of two decades. Over this course of time, I have taken care and developed a relationship with over a dozen different cats. Now, I have two kittens of my own to build strong relationship with
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Feline energy. It's bizarre to say, but being in the presence of a cat has a particularly calming zen sensation, even amidst times of play. Cats are my spiritual being and enjoy the opportunity to engage with any and all felines.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I currently have two five-month old kittens, Skaara and Ronon. Skaara is an energetic, pint-size calico princess. Her sister, Ronon, is the vocalist of the two. If she's hungry, MEOW; if she's bored, MEOW... She doesn't believe in mystery. They're both the perfect blend of cuddle and zoomie ❤️
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Ask questions. The more questions you ask about your sitter's approaches and experience, the more comfortable you'll become in trusting this person with your cat. And if said sitter isn't asking just as many questions about your cats--they are just not the one.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am typically available during most holidays.
What is your favorite cat toy?
My best cat play experiences involve either a blanket monster or a stick. As blanket monster wrestling doesn't count as a "toy," Stick is a very strong second. Whether it's a feather or a mouse or a bell, Stick is a perfect, foolproof floof play session.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
The most important mindsets to have when handling anxious or timid cats are boundaries, patience, positivity. Never push the cat's boundaries by forcibly trying to get closer. Patiently sit a distance away and let it come to you, or let it get to it's dinner or water dish uninhibited. Observing with a positive disposition adds to the situational energy that can help to put the cat at ease and develop trust and comfort.

Alyson was the ideal caretaker for my cat. She took time upfront to understand his routine and personality, and followed through on every instruction without me having to follow up. She sent regular photos and updates while I was away, which made it easy to actually relax and enjoy my time. You could tell she wasn’t just going through the motions, she genuinely engaged with him, and he showed it. We came home to a calm, happy cat, which says everything. I will definitely book Alyson again when the time comes!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Manchester cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
