What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for as long as I can remember! Growing up as a lifelong cat lover, helping friends, family, and neighbors care for their felines has always been second nature to me. Cats are truly my passion, and over the years, that lifelong devotion has evolved into trusted, hands-on sitting experience with cats of every age, personality, and need.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
The Initial Consultation: We will start with a detailed chat (or a meet-and-greet if preferred) to discuss your cat’s routine, dietary needs, favorite hiding spots, and temperament. If your cat requires medication, this is when we will review exact dosages and schedules. Daily Updates: I know how hard it is to be away from your fur babies, so I send daily updates and photos after every visit. You will always know exactly how they are doing, eating, and feeling
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When it comes to timid or anxious cats, my golden rule is to always let them set the pace. Having lived with cats of all temperaments, I know that forcing interaction only creates stress, so I focus on respecting their boundaries. I make myself small, use low tones, and give them the space to observe me safely from a distance. Instead of pushing for affection, I focus on consistent routines, quiet companionship, and reading their body language. With patience and zero pressure, I ensure they feel completely secure until they are ready to interact on their own terms

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
