Growing up, our family always had at least one cat—my very first was a calico named "Kitzie," a cherished member even before I was born. I remember eagerly convincing my parents to bring home every stray I found, and that early exposure to feline companionship has shaped my lifelong passion.

Now, as a retired certified veterinary technician of 40 years clinical experience I’ve learned to appreciate the delightful individuality and unpredictable charm of cats. We oftened joked that our feline patients are "from Mars" because they’re so wonderfully unique—a quality that sets them apart from dogs... At home, my husband and I share our lives with an Devon Rex cat— A familiar phrase around here is, "I can't get up, I have a cat on me," a playful nod to the warmth and comfort that our feline friends bring into our lives.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been a Meowtel sitter since 2020.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Getting to know all the individual "purrsonalities" of each cat I care for.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a grouchy old man Devon Rex, Martin, who will not tolerate a housemate - I guess he wants his human staff all to himself! And 2 outside gentlemen who decided this is a good place to hang out and get eats without the committment!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Think about your own cat's daily life - how would it be impacted by a visitor versus a car ride to the kennel and his or her experience there? What seems the best for YOUR cat?

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I'm happy to help others enjoy their family time away. Be assured you can take a break but still be sure your kitty friends are well love from afar.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I never try to engage a cat that is not ready for some love. I find many cats that are typically shy in their home enviornment are ready to open up for some companionship once they realize a new visitor is non-threatening and is the one providing the meals!

Your cat will not be in better hands than with Lynn. My cat baby needed extra care with medication and monitoring getting over a sickness. Lynn was able to customize his care to exactly what he needed. I really feel taken care of when Lynn cat sits for us. Lynn was amazing to work with! From scheduling, to the pre-trip meeting, to the caretaking she was awesome. One of my cats is super shy and she still managed to give me great updates of him with pictures and updates of his activity, which is super appreciated for a worried cat mom. She was always punctual, descriptive with pictures and details, went above and beyond with giving attention and cleaning, and made me feel well assured that my cats were well taken care of while I was away. Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
