I'm Shelby
Cat Sitting in Davenport, FL
I’m very ca... Hey everybody! My name is Shelby! I’m 30 years old and I live in Polk County! I have been a cat owner my entire life and just recently lost my boy of 20, years at the start of this year. Instead of taking on a new baby, I decided I wanted to step in for other cat parents and share my love and care around town.
I’m very calm, cool and collected and have experience administering topical and oral medications.
My full time job is a mobile hair and makeup artist, so I have plenty experience being comfortable working in other people’s homes.
I want to say thank you ahead of time for trusting me with your babies and can’t wait to meet them! 🐾
Learn More About Shelby
What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have cat sat for friends and family throughout my life, being the most experienced with cats from being an owner my whole life. I’d say I’ve been independently sitting for friends and family for around 10 years.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love cat sitting because I can get to know multiple families, as well as meet new cats day to day. I also enjoy forming personal relationships with people and animals!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
While I have not pet sit on Meowtel yet, my favorite cat sitting “job” I’ve had in the past was when I sat for a friend who was on a cruise. She had just adopted an older female who was very apprehensive around strangers. Through the week, I was able to gain her trust. So much so she allowed me to pet her, and she even sat next to me on her own accord. These moments are the kind that are rewarding and special to me as a cat lover.

Davenport cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
