I currently have a tuxedo cat named, Boojum. I have had him for almost a year and he is the sweetest boy! I had a senior cat that recently passed and when my heart couldn’t stand the empty feeling, I saw Boojum and knew he was the one that would fill that missing piece! I always feel that a home needs a cat because they bring so much personality and warmth. Waking up to Boojum and having him snuggle against me or run across my legs with the zoomies is always a highlight to my day!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

My advice would be communication and expectations are critical. There is no such thing as being too tedious or specific. Including as much details is necessary because having someone watch an extension of your family is a HUGE deal. Ensuring your cat is well taken care of and having open communication with updates or questions is reassuring and important.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Safety is my top priority when caring for a cat. I always take note of how the home is secured when I enter. I want to ensure that when exiting, all points of entry are locked. I always ensure that every cat is accounted for when I enter and leave. Cats can hide is precarious places and ensuring that they are not trapped or in a room is critical. Monitoring food, water, and litter box usage are important as this can show insight to the cat being stressed or not feeling well. If there is an alarm system, I will ensure this is set and will communicate entering/exiting with the homeowners.

She also provided updates on every visit which helped put my mind at ease while I was away from my baby girl. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
