What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I know firsthand how stressful it is to leave your kitties in the hands of a caregiver when you’re away. They’re family, and need to feel just as safe and cared for while you’re gone as they did when you’re home. It makes me feel good knowing I can help make that decision a little bit easier. I have met cats with all sorts of personalities over the years and yet love and respect each and every one.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

You know your cats best. Their habits, their preferences, and even their quirks. Think about those as you describe your cats to potential sitters. Those descriptions should lead to some good questions from the sitter that will make the job a lot easier! I always ask about health history, any favorite hiding spots, whether they’re content to stay inside or tend to try to escape to the wild… and lots more depending on the cat.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

During my walk-through before sitting I ask about any security cameras or alarms I will need to know about. When I enter the home I always check that doors and windows are locked, and I wear the house key around my neck for the duration of the visit to ensure I never accidentally lock myself out. I ask about smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, if available, and if any lights are on a timer. I’ll bring in mail and packages, and let the owner know if anything ever seems out of sorts.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
