What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I take care of cats every day.I’ve taken care of clients cats, friends and families cats many time for decades.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new cats. It’s fun to build trust and a new kitty friendship and making them feel loved.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

One time I had to take care of this cat that had to be walked every day. So much fun

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 3 rescue kitties. Merlin, Madeline, and Milo. Madeline and Milo are brother and sister they will be 4 in March. Merlin may be about 13 years old.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would suggest a meet and greet. Make sure you and your cat are comfortable with them and you trust them. Trust your gut. If your cat responds well. That’s a great sign.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process normally begins with a meet and great so I can meet their kitty. Find out their cat likes or what they don’t like. What kind of personality they have. If they have any hiding spots. I ask about feeding schedules. How much to feed them. If snacks are involved. Where the litter boxes and fresh litter are, and if they have any medications, they need to have administered. I want the cat parents to feel comfortable with me and know that I will take great care of their kitty while they are away, and that I give daily updates and with video and photographs.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I prioritize the cat safety in the security of the home at all times. I carefully follow instructions. I always double check doors and windows and gates before and after each visit. and if I noticed anything was wrong with the kitty, I would immediately notify the owner. And I would act quickly by taking the cat to the vet if there was something wrong.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I’m completely available during the holidays .

What is your favorite cat toy?

My cats love the wine toys with the feathers with the little bells. I like that because my cats are jumpers and it’s so fun to watch them jump. They also love the laser pointers my cats go crazy for that. That is so fun to play with them at night.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I am very patient with Shy Kitties. I take my time. I let them approach me and when they’re ready, I just start with slowly scratching their chin and then moving to petting their back when they’re comfortable.
