Growing up with cats my entire life, I am very privy to cat body language, behaviors, and needs... Hello! I’m a 21 year old Music Education student at GCSU and an experience cat-sitter! I’ve been cat sitting for family friends for many years, and have had cats my entire life. I have a very calm, gentle demeanor that I’ve found can put some nervous animals at ease. I am very detail oriented and extremely thorough, and if I feel anything isn’t clear, or have a question, I’ll ask you about it to make sure I do exactly what you need me to do for your cat!

Growing up with cats my entire life, I am very privy to cat body language, behaviors, and needs. I am experienced with all cats, from kittens, to very elderly cats, to cats with disabilities. Whether your cat is incredibly energetic and playful, or loves to lay on a lap and sleep all day, I can match their energy and give them the kind of attention they need!
I take pet safety incredibly seriously, so rest assured your cat will be in good hands. I am constantly educating myself on animals (specifically cats and dogs), so you can count on me to be knowledgeable.
I will keep you up to date with the goings-on of your cat(s), and of course send lots of pictures! In addition to sitting, I have also volunteered at the Athens Humane Society with their cats.
I have learned about dozens upon dozens of cat breeds and their characteristics, and dozens of interesting and important facts about cats! I’m incredibly passionate about cats, and always have been!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy getting to know new cats, getting to learn their personalities and behaviors, and overall helping them have such a great time, that they won’t miss their owners too much. I love cats with all my heart, and any time spent with cats is time well spent in my book! I’d do this for free, but college is expensive and I need all the work I can get!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
No matter what home I’m in, I make sure all doors are completely locked and everything is secure. Whenever entering a house with cats, I open the door cautiously and quickly in case there are any escape artists! I make sure any objects that could hurt the cats (sharp objects, small objects they could injest, food poisonous to cats) are all safely stowed during my daily sweep of the house. I am incredibly attentive, and if I even get an inkling feeling that something is off, I investigate and take care of it.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
With anxious or timid cats, it’s important to give them space and let them know they are in control of the situation. I never make loud sounds, large movements, or even too much eye contact. Normally, I will sit on the ground in a room adjacent to them, keep an eye on them but not let them see I’m paying attention to them, and stay there as long as it takes for them to work up the courage to come up to me. Food usually helps too, feeding them and giving treats while remaining calm and not trying to pet them can help the cat gain trust that you aren’t there to hurt them. I grew up with an incredibly timid cat that I could only pet in her last year of life, so I’m very familiar with the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
