What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have had cats my entire life and currently care for three of my own. Over the years, I have also taken in cats that needed a safe and loving home, which has given me a deep understanding of different personalities, behaviors, and care needs. I have over 25 years of experience providing cat sitting services, including drop-in visits and in-home overnight care. I am comfortable caring for cats of all ages, from playful kittens to senior cats, and I pay close attention to their routines, body language, and individual preferences. Cats are truly special animals, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. My experience allows me to provide calm, attentive care so each cat feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owner is away.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Every cat is different, and I love building trust with them—especially with shy or more reserved cats who need a little extra patience and understanding. Spending time with cats is something I genuinely enjoy, and it never feels like work to me.

There isn't one particular one that stands out from the others. Each cat is different and they are all special.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have three cats of my own—Juno, Sassy, and Lil Boy. They are all rescue cats and each have their own unique personality, which I absolutely love. Over the years, I’ve also had other cats who lived long, happy lives with me. Caring for them has given me a deep appreciation for how special cat

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I care for your home and cats as if they were my own. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding routines, litter care, and any specific safety guidelines you provide. I make sure doors and windows are secure, maintain a clean environment, and keep a close eye on your cat’s behavior and well-being. I pay attention to any changes and will immediately communicate anything out of the ordinary. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care so you can feel confident that both your home and your cats are safe while you’re away.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am availble most holidays.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My own cat, Juno, who is very sensitive and requires a calm, patient approach. Because of that, I understand how important it is to create a quiet, safe environment and move at the cat’s pace. I avoid sudden movements and loud noises, and I allow the cat to approach me when they feel comfortable. I never force interaction and instead focus on building trust through consistency and gentle care. If medication is required, I handle it as calmly and efficiently as possible to minimize stress. My goal is always to help anxious cats feel safe, respected, and as relaxed as possible while you’re away.
