I understand how much trust goes into allowing another person to care for them so I assure you I come with care, patience, and an investment to make sure your cat is well taken care of. I am organized in my care and believe there isn’t a detail too small when connecting to cat parents. My skills include petting, talking to, and playing with cats. And I won’t let them trick me into thinking they haven’t eaten all day (they may get a little treat, though!)
Before booking, please consider the following:
- If you’re booking via the web, consider downloading the Meowtel app as it’s easier to chat.
- If your cat(s) shy/antisocial, a 20 minute visit usually is enough time for me to change the litter, refresh water, and leave food.
-If your cat needs twice a day visits because of medication, I highly recommend scheduling me for an overnight visit (12 hours).
-During our meet & greet please have how I’m going to access your home (spare key, door code, lockbox code) ready. We should also discuss how I can safely leave any physical keys on my last day of sitting.

Yes I do! I have a beautiful orange cat named Nala. She’s 11 years old and quite the moody girl.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Always feel like you can ask questions/check in! I’m happy to give you peace of mind when I’m watching your cat.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I require meet and greets for all new clients. During this meet and greet, you can inform me of your cat(s) routine and show how to access your home when you’re away.
Are you usually available during holidays?
It depends on the holiday! My day job is for a school so I have extended time off during holidays.

Angela was incredible with the cats! This was my first time being away for more than a few nights and I was really impressed with how relaxed and calm they were when I got back. It was so nice knowing they were being well cared for and Angela sent photos whenever possible. I love that the cats warmed up to her enough to greet her and ask for pets and cuddles. Any cat owner knows how special that is with a new person. I will definitely work with her for my next trip!

My one year old kitties are very fearful of strangers. Angela took great care of them for five days while I was away, and even had a few petting/purring/treat-giving breakthroughs! That’s a big deal for Artie and Louise. My first time having outside care with these two and I was a little nervous, but Angela kept me happy with daily updates. I’ll definitely use her again!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Round Lake cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Angela has watched my two cats 5 times over the past two years. One of those was a week long stay at my house to watch and take care of my boys. While I’m away I know she cares for my cats as if they were her own. She does her best to understand their personalities and provide care based on their individual needs. I’ve been impressed by her communication (I always ask for pictures of my babies when I’m gone.) I have one cat who requires daily medication and she has administered that while I’m away. My cat can be stubborn about it, but she has figured out a good way to work with him to make sure he gets that medication for his allergies. She is extremely sweet with my cats and shows them love while we are away. I don’t have to worry about them when I’m gone as I know she will do everything she can to provide them a loving environment!
