When I first meet a new cat, I like to let the cat take the initiative on greetings. I like to stay calm and quiet and let the cat ... I have had cats my entire life and love spending time with them. I have experience giving topical and oral medications. Anywhere with a cat is where I'd rather be!
When I first meet a new cat, I like to let the cat take the initiative on greetings. I like to stay calm and quiet and let the cat get used to my presence. I dont want a cat to be overwhelmed or upset bya new person in their territory.
Before sitting for a cat, I like to ask you all about your cat's favorite things - toys, foods/treats, brushes. I'll spend time with your cat on their terms and will treat them like my own.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
There were cats in my home before I was born. I have never lived without at least one cat. I first started cat sitting when I was in high school. I have been cat sitting on and off for the past 15 years. I have experience with a range of cat ages and needs.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats. Quigley is a gray and white short haired cat. Wynonna is a black and white Norwegian Forest cat mix.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am usually available during winter and summer holidays. I am always available on weekends. I am occasionally available during Thanksgiving.

The photo updates are wonderful. She shows up, and follows through- and gave excellent care and attention to our babies.

I had never used a pet sitting service until mow so I was definitely hesitant initially going into an app and finding someone to trust to come into our home and help our cat. Those hesitations quickly disappeared upon meeting and using Michela for our cat Wendell. She was always on time, pleasant to communicate with and gave us piece of mind that he was well cared for in our absence. Highly recommended her!!! Will definitely use her again!!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Waukegan cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
