Cat Sitting in Bossier City, LA
I am a bonafide Bossier City cat lady available to care for any beloved cats in the SBC area. I have two cats of my own - Mischa, my sweet gorgeous tuxedo girl, and Pippin, my chaotic orange gremlin boy. Although I work full time as a public librarian, I am always thinking about cats! I even conduct a program involving cats that allows people to come in and practice their reading with shelter cats provided by a local cat shelter - Port City Cat Rescue... Meowdy, my name is Chelsea!
I am a bonafide Bossier City cat lady available to care for any beloved cats in the SBC area. I have two cats of my own - Mischa, my sweet gorgeous tuxedo girl, and Pippin, my chaotic orange gremlin boy. Although I work full time as a public librarian, I am always thinking about cats! I even conduct a program involving cats that allows people to come in and practice their reading with shelter cats provided by a local cat shelter - Port City Cat Rescue. I volunteered at this shelter for a little over a year, during which I would refill food and water, scoop litter, clean floors and counters, and wash blankets and bedding.
I have cared for cats since 2019 and have experience befriending cats of all personality types. Some cats just need time and patience, and they will ultimately dictate how any of our interactions go. My primary goal is to gain their trust at their own pace and comfort level. I want potential clients to have peace of mind that their fur babies are in the right hands and that they will be treated like my own!
During a visit, you can expect me to:
- feed your cat(s)
- administer necessary medications
- scoop/change the litter box
- play and cuddle
- teach them about the Egyptian goddess of cats, Bastet

I have an 8 month old orange tabby boy named Pippin, after the Lord of the Rings character. My other cat is an 8 year old tuxedo named Mischa, after Hannibal Lecter’s little sister.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I will typically have increased availability during holidays due to my full time job not being open on those days.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will sit in the same area with the them and talk quietly to them and let them approach me at their own pace.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chelsea was absolutely wonderful with my cats, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. One of my cats, Delta, is extremely shy and never runs to greet anyone — not even me — but he actually ran to Chelsea when she came over. That alone speaks volumes about how calm, patient, and trustworthy she is. She went far beyond the basics of food, water, and litter. Chelsea genuinely spent time with them, playing with them and giving them the attention they needed. They clearly adored her — so much so that since I’ve been home, I honestly think they’ve been looking around for her! It gave me such peace of mind knowing my two cats were not only well cared for, but happy and comfortable in her presence. Chelsea is reliable, attentive, and truly gifted with animals. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pets like her own, she is the one.

Chelsea has taken care of our 4 cats several times and has formed a bond with them. She's earned the trust of even our toughest formerly-feral cat! Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Bossier City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $21.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
