What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I began cat sitting as a paid profession this year, but I have 5 years of experience cat sitting for my friends and neighbors! This includes keeping their house key safe while they are out of town, bringing in packages, scooping litter, sweeping tracked litter, cleaning vomit, providing fresh food and water, and engaging with their kitties via play and affection. Sometimes if they’re shy, I’ll sit at a distance and just talk to them.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Making new feline friends! My personal motto is, “A house without a cat is not a home.” I just love talking to kitties and letting them show me their personality. Play is a great way to bond with them, and I find it helps us build trust. I’m also particular about my cat sitters sweeping up any tracked litter, so I’ll make sure to do that for you. One of the worst things to come home to after a trip is litter everywhere, so I’ll do my best to sweep every visit. (Although please don’t hold me responsible if they rocket out of the litter box with poop zoomies after I leave 😂)

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Coopy and ChiChi!!! My babies!!! I call them my little sausages when they sprawl out on the kitchen floor on hot Nola summer days. Coopy is older and loves to sit on my lap while I drink coffee in the kitchen and watch true crime youtubers. She communicates her emotions/thoughts with her eyes better than any cat I've met. She is soooo smart and loving! ChiChi is a lil diva and I'm so here for it! She lays on my chest almost anytime she sees me laying down. I like to think it's because she loves me, but it might just be cause she knows I'll scratch her lol

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

My kitties are indoor, but one likes to try to explore our apartment stairwell! If your kitty is outside curious too, l will take care to enter and leave the house with caution. Doors immediately get closed when a cat lives in a house, and putting eyes on the cats is my first priority when entering. I will check under couches and beds until I see the shadow of two pointy ears or glowing eyeballs. After taking care of refreshing water/food bowls and litter, I will also put eyes on them before leaving. This is what I do in my own home to make sure everyone is safe, healthy, and accounted for. I always give goodbye pets and let them know how loved they are!

Sadly, where I live, I am not allowed to have fur babies. However, having observed her loving care of the two precious kitties (cats) she has - Chichi & Coopy - I am confident that Kris would make an excellent cat-sitter. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
