I know what it feels like to be away on vacation and constantly thinking about my cats back home, hoping they’re safe and getting the care they need. So I want owners to feel rest assured that their furry little friends are in the best of hands when they’re away. That is why I’m here :)

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy seeing every cats routine, and who they are. As I said previously, there are no “normal” cats. They are all special and I even find the not-so-friendly cats adorable.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two beautiful cats, Binx (tabby cat who is a trouble maker) and Belinda (a beautiful soft all-black cat). They are my world.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Ask how long the cat sitter has lived with cats. The longer someone has been around cats, the more understanding they are. There are these “rules of thumb” that every experienced cat owner should know.

Gabe was wonderfully communicative and responsive to any requests or questions I had. My house was left spotless, and my cats were delighted to have me back home. He did a great job feeding my senior cat her medication and found ways to get them in her mouth even when the way I pill her didn't work for him. Excellent sitter, highly recommend and would book with again!

Gabriel is fantastic! He has cat-sat for me twice now, and my kitties love him. :) Both of my cats are on medication, and he's been great with them. He's prompt with communication if there is a question (or just to relay updates). He also takes great pictures of the kitties.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
