What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love being able to meet new clients (aka the cats!) every kitty has their own unique personalities and I love to get to know them!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My first clients ever, both with different personalities but so loveable. Being able to sit and have a kitty immediately jump in my lap and make air biscuits warmed my heart every time. While getting the head butt or rub from her sister was such a huge success for both of us!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two kitties. My oldest cat is Luna, she is all black with a few white chest hairs. My youngest cat is Sprout, she is a long hair tabby.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who makes you feel comfortable. Nobody likes to leave their cat, but sometimes it’s necessary. Finding someone who will treat your kitty the same way you do is so important.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Ensuring any escape artists are kept at bay/ distracted while entering/exiting the home. Not all cats are social, ensuring I give them the space they need ensures both of our safety.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I stay locally for the holidays so I would be able to take care of your kitty/kitties while you enjoy your time with family!
What is your favorite cat toy?
I personally love the fishing rod I got for my cats for Christmas. They love to chase and jump to catch the different attachements it came with! It reels in like an actual rod too, they love it
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
You have to give them to space and patience to come to you on their own. I always let them come to me when/if they are ready. Body language is so important to be able to ensure their comfort. Some cats don’t like to directly interact with people and that is okay! It’s their world and I’m just living in it.

Our cats immediately took to Heather during the meet and greet. While we were gone they seemed relaxed, mostly going about their normal schedules. Heather took time to send me plenty of videos and photos of my furbabies, ensuring i knew she was spending time giving them attention and pets, not just the basic necessities. We would definitely hire her again!

I went on vacation for a week and was super nervous to leave my cat for the first time since I adopted him, he needs medication twice a day and I was weary to trust anyone to do it, but Heather was awesome, she took such amazing care of my boy & sent me updates everyday, it was such a relief to know he was in such amazing capable hands. Now I feel so much better about going away because I have someone I can trust to take the best care of my cat ☺️

The days hours gone, she would send me pictures on my cats , How much she fed them, and if they she gave them treats to see if she could get one to come out and say hi. I truly wanna thank her because when I came home, my cats were happy healthy, and I came home, knowing that there was nothing wrong.

Heather was phenomenal. She was loving and attentive to our sweet Gio right from the meet and great. We felt so secure with her watching our kitty and staying at our place. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Taunton cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
