What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

The point where the cat trusts me enough to enjoy being pet, seeks out my attention, and best of all, looks for a snuggle (the holy grail!). I love getting to know every cat's individual quirks.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Double, triple check everything! I make sure that foods, supplies and anything dangerous are really secured and out of reach. Cats can surprise people with their cunning when it comes to getting into something they want. I always make sure to keep windows and doors closed and locked when they need to be, and check them often. I keep an eye and a limb out for darters so they can't slip through.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I learn the cat's triggers and what might help overcome them. Cats need space, play and other experiences to feel safe and confident. I acknowledge every cat has their own timeline to learn to trust someone, and every cat's trust will also look different.

My cat is VERY shy, so when I returned I expected to see her feeling a bit traumatized by all the changes. However, my cat was relaxed and calm and happy, which tells me that Kay did a phenomenal job of keeping my cat feeling safe and well cared for. Kay was incredibly thorough and followed instructions to the T. I’m very pleased and appreciative for Kay’s help and will definitely use you again.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
