My name is Silvia, and I can't imagine life without cats. Unfortunately, on November 2022, Richi, my 16-year-old orange tabby left me, and I still miss him like crazy, I can still hear him running around and I miss him jumping on top of my laptop while I’m working.
Thankfully, my little Marilyn is a tiny tuxedo who is still with me. She is 17 years old but looks and behaves like a young lady and I feel like she’s going to live forever... ⚠️ My August dates are fully booked but meesage me especially if you have booked with me before and I’ll try to move things around to accommodate your kitty needs, meow 😻

Thankfully, my little Marilyn is a tiny tuxedo who is still with me. She is 17 years old but looks and behaves like a young lady and I feel like she’s going to live forever. In the winter she spends most of her time in a heated bed that she’s crazy about.
Growing up, my parents also had a grumpy calico who lived 20 years. I think we know how to take care of cats in this family!
I am originally from Europe, but I’ve been in the US since 2014, and I love how many people have cats and other pets and how spoiled they are :))) They deserve it!!
I would be happy to take care of your baby whenever you need it. I understand how hard it can be to have a job, a social life, and to explore the world while leaving your kitties at home, and I can help make things easier for you and for them.
If your cat has special needs, I can help take care of the oral, ear, or eye medicine, but I have never done shots

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The purrs drive me crazy! There's nothing more rewarding as a cat sitter than being received by those lovely sounds.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Richi & Marilyn, my first babies that were with me for 16 and 17 years. Now I have three Halloween babies called Pumpkin, Spookie and Wolfie.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I'm always careful when opening the door, just in case they want to escape! Always check for them, even if they're hiding, to make sure they're fine, I won't stop until I find them! Sorry if I had to check your closet! I also check if and how much they ate and used the litter box...
What is your favorite cat toy?
My earrings, my glasses, my necklaces, my bracelets... they love them!! I am so happy to share them anytime they want!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I just let them warm up slowly without trying to grab them or pet them (I keep my hands away). I talk loving words to them from a distance, give them their favorite food or treat... the purrs are coming!

Silvia is a wonderful cat sitter. She sent us photos and a text message each day to show that our girls (2 nine year old tuxedos who are very set in their ways) were doing just fine. We know she spent time talking to them and patting them (if allowed) or she never would've gotten the photos. SILVIA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!! This was the first time I needed to leave my little one with someone I didn’t know and to say I was anxious would be an understatement… Silvia eased all my nerves! During our meet and greet she was taking notes and asking questions I knew I’d end up forgetting to talk about. I woke up every morning to a bunch of pictures from Silvia showing my fur ball eating and being her normal self! They needed special care due to illnesses each with less than straight forward directions and she quickly picked up on everything, she took thorough notes so we were confident that she knew what to do. She was prompt and gave great update photos and videos that warmed our hearts to know they were well taken care of and loved while we were away. She became fast friends with the fur babies. She went above and beyond when our flights got cancelled to ensure the cats were taken care of. She’s great and will for sure use her again!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Worcester cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Silvia was great with my cat! She understood that he was a little shy during the first meeting and gave him space when needed. Once the booking started, he seemed to warm up fast.
