I have always had cats. My first playmate was a cat named Tommy. Since then, there’s been so many more with fond memories. I currently have 7 feline babies ranging in age from 13 years to just shy of a year. Needless to say, one of my many hobbies is litter box cleaning 😃I do have a strong attachment to all cats but especially black ones. 5 of my 7... I have always had cats. My first playmate was a cat named Tommy. Since then, there’s been so many more with fond memories. I currently have 7 feline babies ranging in age from 13 years to just shy of a year. Needless to say, one of my many hobbies is litter box cleaning 😃I do have a strong attachment to all cats but especially black ones. 5 of my 7 are black. I am quite adamant about not letting cats outside because it’s way too dangerous for them out there. Cars, other animals, and just the environment make it not safe. I do ensure all my babies get to the doctor at least annually. I’m retired now so looking for ways to help others out with taking care of their companions when they need it.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have only cat sat for friends. I am new to cat sitting but have experience with cats of all ages. Once I kitten sat for a friend who was fostering a litter. There were around 6 of them. As a teen I held my cat’s paw while she delivered her kittens.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have seven: Dixie, Jack, Rogue, Peter, Brendan, Lucas, and Emmett. They range in age from 13 years to 11 months.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I talk soothingly to them and give them space. I may offer a treat to distract them from my presence and let them know I mean no harm.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
