What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

My typical process is to speak virtually first so see if we are a good match and then to set up a time for me to meet the animals and see the home before the sit begins. I like to send updates and cute pictures of your furry friends while you are away. 🥰

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give them their space. Let them come to me when they are ready. I make sure not to make any sudden movements or loud noises. I like the slow blink and look away trick to create a sense of calm and safety between me and the new fur friend. For the first greeting I like to put my finger out for a gentle nose boop because it mimics what cats do that when they first meet each other (touch noses). Finally I maintain consistency in my actions so they can feel safety and stability in my predictable behavior.

Lex is awesome with my animals she watches. Anytime I go out of town and Lex is watching them my anxiety is low. I know that they are in the best hands and she will treat my dogs and cats with the love I give them. My dog Chy is on meds and is a picky eater. Lex was patient and made sure she had her meds on time daily. Lex also communicates anything I would want to know about effectively and in a timely fashion. She is the only one I trust to watch my animals.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
