What I enjoy most about cat sitting is the opportunity to bond with different cats and provide them with the care and attention they need while their owners are away. Each cat has its own unique personality and quirks, and getting to know them and earning their trust is incredibly rewarding. I love spending time playing with them, cuddling, and watching their little antics. It's also fulfilling to know that I'm helping to ensure their comfort and well-being in the familiar surroundings of their own home. Overall, the joy of forming connections with these furry companions and knowing that I'm making a positive difference in their lives makes cat sitting a truly enjoyable experience for me.

I used to have a cat name mew which was so loving and caring, but I do not have a cat now

My priority is ensuring the safety and well-being of both the cats and their home during my care. To achieve this, I meticulously inspect the home, ensuring all doors and windows are securely closed and any potential hazards are removed. I adhere closely to the instructions provided by the cat owners, diligently following feeding schedules, medication routines, and any other specific care requirements. I maintain a comfortable and inviting environment for the cats, providing fresh water, clean litter boxes, and plenty of affection and attention. In case of emergencies, I'm fully prepared with contact information for the owners and vet, as well as knowledge of emergency supplies and procedures. Regular monitoring for any signs of illness or injury allows me to promptly address any concerns and keep the owners informed of their cats' well-being.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I have a flexible schedule and would be available with advanced notice. Typically my work keeps me in town during the holidays so it provides me time to care for your fur baby.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I don't have favorites, but I think catnip-filled toys can be quite amusing for cats! The way they react to the scent and play with the toy can be really entertaining to watch. I also enjoy the teaser wands while are quick fun for me as well as mimic the movement of prey, activating your cat's natural hunting instincts. The mental stimulation is also a huge bonus.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When dealing with timid or anxious cats, it's crucial to create a safe environment where they can feel secure. I allow them to approach at their own while trying to keep a calm and quiet demeanor. It is key to respect the cat's boundaries and avoid overwhelming them with too much attention or handling however using positive reinforcement such as treats and praise to encourage positive behaviors can help ease the timidness. It is smart to try to stick to a consistent routine for feeding, playtime, and other activities to provide stability.
