I am a lifelong cat lover with over 20 years of hands on experience caring for cats and the founder of the rescue Feral Today Friend Tomorrow, which I've been running for the past four years.
Through my rescue work, I've cared for cats of all personalities and needs from playful kittens to shy, fearful, and senior cats. I use a fear-free, gentle approach and always work at the cat's pace to help them feel safe and comfortable in their own home... Hi!

I'm experienced with administrating medications oral medications, injections, topicals and even laser therapy when needed. I'm also very comfortable working with cats who need extra patience, including shy, semi feral, or behaviorally sensitive cats.
My background includes TNR, fostering, bottle-feeding kittens, socializing shy cats, behavior support, and helping cats transition into loving homes. Every cat ifls different, and I take pride in understanding their unique personalities and needs.
During each visit, I'll make sure your cat receives attentive care, enrichment, and lots of patience. I am also happy to provide photo updates every visit so you can relax knowing your family member is safe and well cared for.

I've spent over 20 years caring for cats. I've cared for cats of all temperaments and needs, including shy cats and those requiring medications.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Remember, it's your home and your cat(s), so you need to feel comfortable with the sitter. Ask about their experience. Make sure their approach matches your cat's needs, and choose someone you trust to provide patience, care, and updates while you are away.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I use a fear-free, gentle approach with timid or anxious cats. I let them set the pace, moving slowly and quietly, offering space and time to build trust. I use patience, soft voices, and treats or toys to create positive associations, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in my care.

Laurie was absolutely incredible!! I have the cats all of different temperaments. 1 who loves everyone, 1 who hates everyone, and 1 who is afraid of everyone. She won every single cat over. She did so with respect to my cats, meeting them at their comfort level and never forcing them, during the meet & greet. She took notes on what my needs where for each cat. She expertly handles 2 of my cats medicine needs (transdermal application and a pill). She asked if she could give treats to the cats and meticulously noted which cat had medical reasons for why he could have most treats. She took great care of them. The litter boxes where well managed. Their was signs that she played with the cats. I received daily updates and pictures. She was highly responsive to any questions I had. She will forever be my first choice when I need someone to watch my babies.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Farmington cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
