My cats range in age from 16 years old to less than one year, and all but one gets a variety of medical treatments every day... Hi there! My name is Heather and I've been a devoted cat lover since I was two years old! Throughout my life, I've rescued many, many kitties, most of whom were found outdoors. My current feline family is made up entirely of rescues, and I’m thrilled to give them the loving home they deserve.
With extensive experience in handling medical situations, I’m skilled in administering various treatments, including shots, pills, eye and ear drops, transdermal medications, and breathing treatments. My cats range in age from 16 years old to less than one year, and all but one gets a variety of medical treatments every day. I deeply care about my kitties, and ensuring they get the best health care possible is a top priority for me.
Many of my rescues were initially shy, and I always let the kitties set the pace for interaction, helping them build trust. My go-tos are play and treats (Churus are the best!). My youngest guy wouldn’t let me touch him for months – he was so terrified--but now he will gladly sit in my lap for all the pets! My fur babies enjoy a wide variety of enrichment activities, from interactive play with a wand toy to catios to cat tv! They also have many cat trees and perches throughout the house so that everyone can find their favorite spot.
I take my responsibility as a caretaker very seriously and pride myself on being extremely reliable. If you're looking for someone to treat your kitties with the same love and care I give my own, I'm here to help!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
My kitties are: Harry, 16 years old, found under a fraternity, twice a day oral meds, once a month shots. Sammy, 10 years old, found in the yard, twice a day oral meds. Oliver, 6 years old, ran into the house of a friend, twice a day oral meds. Teddy, 6 years old, found under the porch, twice a day oral meds. Tierra, 1.8 years old, found at a pet store, twice a day eye drops, oral meds, and breathing treatments. Stu & Cowbell, 1.5 years old, found under a porch, three times a day oral meds. Calliope, 8 months, found in a neighborhood with lots of homeless kitties. They are all deeply loved! Tierra requires the most medical care due to her severe upper respiratory issues and Calliope is the shyest.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
As you take care of your cat, write down what you do. Use that as a guide for your sitter.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
My process for a new client would be to go to the home to see exactly how the client would like their kitty to be cared for. I’d like to spend an hour going over everything so that I can be sure to take great care of the kitty.
What is your favorite cat toy?
A wand toy and then rotating lures from small bugs, to larger fur-shaped lures to feathers! Some kitties are mousers and prefer smaller prey while others are birders and really go for the feathers.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I speak softly, move slowly, use slow blinks and gentle play to gain trust. I’d offer a favorite treat. I would never force a kitty to engage but try to entice their curiosity and get them to come to me.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
