Cats are my favorite thing in the whole world, and I love being around them! I’ve grown up having cats my whole life and currently have two cats of my own, Pepper and Jack.
I work at a veterinary clinic as a Vet Assistant and also worked at a shelter so I am able to work with cats that need medications or special care. Since I work with cats for a living, you can trust that I’ll give your baby the best care possible! I went to school for veterinary assisting and am working on getting my Veterinary Technician License... I would love to meet your kitty!

Since I work with cats for a living, you can trust that I’ll give your baby the best care possible! I went to school for veterinary assisting and am working on getting my Veterinary Technician License.
Since I work in the veterinary medical field, I am able to give more advanced care- like injections and fluids. I am very comfortable administering oral medications, both pills and liquid, and ear and eye meds. I do not have very much experience with inhalers but am willing to learn!
I live in Kalamazoo but am okay with driving to the surrounding counties. I have Wednesdays off, but am able to stop by on my lunch break depending on how far away (I work in Mattawan and have an hour lunch) and before/after work on the days that I work. I work 8-7 on Mondays and 8-5 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

What is your favorite cat toy?
I love the “fishing pole” toys with feathers! In my experience, cats LOVE the ones with a ball that they can bat around the track! I have the one that has three levels and my cats are obsessed!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Lots of time and patience. I give them their own space and wait until they’re comfortable enough to come out. And if they don’t want me to interact, I don’t interact. I have lots of experience working with scared kitties since I work at a vet clinic.

Second reservation with Kayla, and she was just as great as the first time. She communicated openly and easily throughout the stay, sent pictures, and my cats clearly seemed comfortable with her. While we were away, there was a power outage, and she proactively reached out to ask if we wanted her to check on the cats since they use a powered water fountain. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness and attentiveness. Highly recommend!

We reserved Kayla every day for 45 minutes per day for our 3 cats. We had used her previously and our cats peed outside their litter box for the first time ever (they’re 11). The litter boxes were REALLY full but we thought it was because we only had her come by a couple times. We hoped the litter boxes would be clean this second time around. Unfortunately, they looked like they hadn’t been emptied in at least 3 days, possibly more. I felt so bad for my babies! She also didn’t send photos of each cat every day. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt but, I have a hard time believing she was there every day topping off food, emptying litter boxes, and playing with them.

Kayla has watched my two senior kitties twice now and she’s great about sending photos and updates and paying attention to their patterns. They both need daily meds and Kayla had no issue administering their medication, even to my shy cat! I’m so happy to have found someone I can trust to take good care of my cats!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Kalamazoo cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
