I have experience with shy kitties too as two of my floofs were fond of hiding over every small thing for the longest time and needed a lot of reassurance. They still hide when strangers come over, but have gotten much braver with some calm reassurance from mom.
I have experience with bottle fed kittens, all the way to super seniors who need extra time, attention and medication. I've purrsonally had kitties with kidney disease that needed sub-q fluids every couple of days, and are experienced in administering fluids if needed. I also have had plenty of experience with kitties that need meds for a short term illness, to a long term condition, and have almost mastered the art of giving either liquid meds or pills to grumpy floofs.
Wherever I go, I seem to find kitties, and can't help but to stop and have a quick cat chat, offer some chin scritches if they are amicable to them, and some advice on how to stay safe on the streets.

This is the second time we’ve had Holly over to watch our cats and she is fantastic! She leaves the apartment cleaner than we left it, our cats love her, and we get daily photo updates of her visits. I was nervous having a cat sitter at first because there are so many things that can go wrong with the wrong person but I knew my cats would be more comfortable in my apartment versus at cat boarding. So we took the chance with holly and now I wouldn’t go back. It was 100% worth it to get a cat sitter and my cats are happier than ever. Even my very anxious cat that’s on prozac loves her lmao

First time Meowtel user and the process went very well from start to finish. Holly was extremely kind, responsive, and professional. With several kitties of her own I knew she had the experience and understanding to care for Dottie, my not-always-so-friendly cat. Each day I received several videos and pics of Dottie and messages from Holly which was a huge reassurance that Dottie was in good hands in the comfort of home, rather than boarded in a noisy and unfamiliar environment. Unexpected bonus, Holly even changed out the litter prior to me returning which made the load a little lighter after coming home from a trip. I highly recommend sweet Holly for your cat-sitting needs. Her care of Dottie provided a tremendous peace of mind while I was away.

Holly was easily the best cat sitter we've ever had! We were gone for over two weeks, yet were able to feel strong peace of mind due to Holly's wonderful care. We received detailed and entertaining updates every day with beautiful pictures and videos of our fur babies. Holly was especially great with our more reserved kitty, and they seemed to bond really well! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Lansing cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
