What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting in some capacity since I was a teenager! I love being around animals, so I started pet sitting more regularly again over the past few years and have a built a base of awesome repeat clients.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a sweet senior toothless tuxedo named Sylvia. She’s an older rescue estimated to be somewhere between 15-25 years old!! :) She's a lap cat who looks forward to mealtimes and sunning herself in the window.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am accustomed to being careful when entering and exiting a home with cats in case they are curious or try to bolt. I will follow directions for safety and security of the home, including securing a key, keeping codes private, and locking up when leaving.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am available to cat sit on many holidays. I know it can be challenging to find a good sitter during holidays and I’m happy to help!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I know many cats need time to warm up to new people. I’m a quiet and calm person, and I think many cats can sense that. If they seem curious, I'll bend over to say hi, letting them come to me and put out my hand so they can sniff. I'll stay still so they can decide if they want to approach for pets. If they have any kitty treats, I’ll try to entice them with a couple. If they need more space and time, I’ll give that. I've had a mix of super friendly and shy cats in my life, so I know how both styles operate :)

Not only can Amber be a sitter while an owner is away but she has the ability to give your pet extra love if you work long hours. My cat Tony has been restless when I get home but on days Amber comes to visit Tony is more relaxed, calmer, and overall happier. Anyone having a restless animal that needs some TLC or energy worked out should use Amber. She is quick to respond, trusted, and overall loved by my cat Tony.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
