What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been a cat parent most of my life and have been a pet sitter for about 5 years.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love cats! So, the thing I love most is getting to see, pet and play with all different types of kitties. I also hate leaving my cats and so I know what it means to have someone you can trust and who will spend time with your cats as well as take care of their needs while your away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have 2 orange tabby cats. Their names are Griffin and Aurora. Griffin was rescued from a fire station where he was found as a kitten and Aurora was found on a golf course with her siblings and we drove to Washington DC to bring her home with us. They both look similar even though they are not related and are about 3 months apart in age. They love each other very much.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I want to meet the parent and the cat. Have the parent run me through their routine and what their kitty does and doesn't like. Then of course meet the cat(s) so they can start getting to know me and make sure I am an good fit for both the parent(s) and cat(s) alike.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Follow all instructions left by the owner! There is always a reason they want you to do something specific for their cats or the home.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Most holidays I am available, but from time to time I take trips as well or just may not be available.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The Bird! It's a Bird feather on a string that looks like a bird in the air and makes a fluttering noise like a real bird in the air.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Sit on the ground and just talk with them in soothing calm tones. No sudden or loud movements. Left them come to me if they are willing.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
