What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting ever since I was old enough to accompany my mom and older sister on their pet sitting visits. Soon it would be my turn. We had several family friends in the Wynfield neighborhood, and I would walk over for my 2x daily visits before and after school. I have pet sit for some families for years, and have been able to wach their feline family grow up :) In my previous apartment building, we had a cat co-op, and we all watched each othersā€™ cats for free. It was the best idea! Because it took almost no time at all to walk down the hall, we paid each other in the photos and videos we would take of each othersā€™ pets when we were out of town. Now that we are in a house, we use Meowtel. :)

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have a 4-year-old Calico from West Virginia named Chaussettes. She spent the first year of her life in a cat colony before she became our foster fail. She has such a spunky attitude. She can be nervous around people at first, but as soon as someone feeds her, sheā€™s their best friend. My partner taught her to sit, spin, and shakeā€¦not in Englishā€¦ šŸ˜‚I never knew you could teach cats tricks. She was harness trained in my previous apartment so that I could take her outside, but now she has a big house to explore and watch birds from the screened-in-deck. She is small and feisty and she is the light of my eye.

What is your favorite cat toy?

ā€œMy favorite cat toyā€ will have to be Chaussettesā€™ favorite toy. Which is anything with a feather. She goes crazy for anything that dangles with a feather. Sheā€™ll jump and leap across the room for it. This is how she gets most of her exercise. She is also scarily obsessed with my phone charger, but we try to keep that out of reachā€¦

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
