I’m Jacki, a dependable and experienced cat sitter with over 35 years of hands-on experience caring for my own cats as well as cats for friends, family, and clients. Cats have been part of my life for many years, and I’m comfortable caring for all kinds of personalities—from playful and social to shy and independent.
I understand how important routine is for cats, and I take the time to make sure their feeding schedules, litter habits, and daily comforts stay as consistent as possible while you’re away. What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality and earning their trust. I love seeing shy cats warm up, playful cats show off their energy, and knowing I’m helping them feel safe and comfortable in their own space while their humans are away. It’s really rewarding to be part of their routine and give them the care and attention they’re used to.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I currently have two cats of my own—a brother-and-sister duo named Eliot and Jojo. They’re 3½ years old and, while they can be little hooligans at times, they’re mostly sweet, affectionate, and love to cuddle. Living with them definitely keeps me on my toes and has given me even more appreciation for all the little quirks cats have.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
When caring for a shy or timid cat, I take things slowly and let the cat set the pace. I avoid forcing interaction and focus on keeping their routine consistent—feeding, litter care, and quiet presence. I’ll speak softly, move calmly, and give them space while spending time nearby so they can get used to me. Over time, many shy cats become more comfortable, and I’m always happy to meet them where they are and respect their boundaries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
