I have had cats and dogs all my life starting in my childhood. I've learned pretty early on there is a lot of patience that goes into caring for another life regardless of the species. I take great pride in the fact that many have commented on my ability to gain trust from animals quickly especially the ones who are skittish because I meet them on their level and show these animals i respect their boundaries. I work with many of the skittish cats too help with socialization which can be a slow process but I enjoy being in their presence even if they aren't interacting with me.

I always recommend a meet and greet prior to any bookings so cat parents and cats can get to know me. I have a very calm presence if that is what's needed but can also be very attentive and lovable and playful if they need that as well. I love playing with cats to help them exert some of their built up energy.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 2 wonderful cats. One is a tortie female named Lucy. She is 11 years old. The other is my boy Tilikum who is a black and white tuxedo. He is 6 years old. I've had both of them since they were kittens.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure all entry doorways and windows are secured. I also make sure nothing harmful is left out per what the cat parents say. I know with my own cats, I can't leave particular toys out because my boy cat will eat them so I have to secure them before leaving the house.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I will spend good quality time to just sit with these types of cats. I will not invade or crowd their bubble but just enough of my presence to know I'm there and let my calm presence exude the space so they know I'm not there to hurt them. I also use food as a way to bond. I'll give them treats while I enjoy my own snack. Of course bonding with shy timid cats takes time but I enjoy the process and the result is extremely rewarding

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
