What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I myself currently have two cats. And in total have had 7 cats. Along with two ferrets. And over the years, I have helped & cared for my friends, colleagues & family members dogs & cats. For I am a true animal lover at heart. A trait passed down from grandparents & my uncle. Both of whom owned farms. Yes, a farm, with horses, cattle, pigs, chickens, roosters, geese, ducks, cats & dogs. So needless to say I completely love & appreciate animals.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Since I know what it's like to need a sitter. I look for someone who will love & care for my cats as if their own. Animals are innocent & beautiful & in need of affectionate loving care, And I just love animals. And I've been a cat parent since I was 15 yrs. old. so needless to say, I love cats.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two, Patches & Smokey. Patches is my senior lady. Though she looks like a kitten. And Smokey is my big man. Who is a sweet mush. lol

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Find a sitter who will truly consider your cat's needs. One who is reliable & responsible. And one who will truly make an effort to familiarize themselves with your cats needs. Along with your own needs. Find someone who has a genuine interest & familiarity with cats.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I'd set up a meeting with you in your home. See your pet's routine & let the pet become familiar with me. While asking many questions, about their needs, wants & habits.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Obviously, it depends on the home. And the cat parents' manner of care. I would want to get familiar with their ways, home & all its forms of safety & security features. Above all proper communication.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, Though on Mother's & Father's Day. I do prefer to be with my parents. And work around their needs. Christmas Eve & day, I can work, if you are willing to be flexible of time scheduling. It all depends on what's needed of me. Of which, this can be discussed.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Obviously, that varies on each individual cat. It's more about their favorite toy, than my favorite toys. In order to have a pleasant experience.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

With absolute loving care and patience. I like to ease into it, by letting them come to me. Patience is key.
