I have two, one quiet senior girl named Minette and one wild child boy named Maui. I know how to care for different personalities, ages and genders, and would alter my approach for each individual cat's needs to make sure they were safe and well cared for.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Make sure you hire someone experienced in cat care specifically. Some individuals offering general pet-sitting services may be more familiar with dogs, while cat care requires a great understanding of cat quirks and behaviors. Stress shows up differently in both so its important to hire someone who knows what warning signs to look for in case of an emergency.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I would have an in-depth talk with the cat parent prior to sitting to get an idea of the cats behavior and any special needs to ensure safety. For instance, if the cat has a habit of eating string or hair ties I'd do a thorough check of the house and never bring anything like that with me. I'd make sure anything that could endanger a cat, like window shade cords or precariously placed objects, were secured. I'd ensure all windows and doors were locked before I left the house and would make sure the cat was in a safe area with access to all its regular needs. I'd provide the owners with regular updates and photos.

Natasha did a great job taking care of my cat while we were away. She followed all my instructions, left the kitchen very clean, and even left me a thank you note for booking her (unexpected and a very nice touch). She spent 40 minutes with me before the trip to learn what needed to be done and to make me feel comfortable leaving my cat in a stranger’s care. I highly recommend Natasha and will book her again for my next trip.

Every time I go away on vacation I know I can count on Natasha to take care of my two cats, I really appreciate her because she doesn't just feed them and leave - she stays and plays with them which makes me feel so much better on longer trips. Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
