Besides my two cats, I have cared for an uncountable amount of others and feel incredibly comfortable with any personality or issue that I may come across. I've volunteered at the Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge, Louisiana while in college. I also plan to foster once my cats get a little older.
My parents also have two cats that we adopted when I was still living with them... Cats are without a doubt Earth's greatest creatures! I am fortunate to be the owner of two awesome tuxedo kittens named Monty and Wilbur. Spending time and caring for them is one of the greatest joys of my life! I devote a lot of my free time to reading about their nutrition and behaviors so I can truly understand them and their needs. I will without a doubt use these skills when caring for your cats!

My parents also have two cats that we adopted when I was still living with them. I sadly had to leave them with them because they are very bonded to my Dad, but luckily I live near by so I get to see them all the time and care for them when my parents are out of town. Their oldest cat Titus was separated from his litter when he was born and has had some behavioral issues since he was not properly socialized as a kitten. He can be very aggressive at time, but is so sweet and affectionate to my parents and me. Titus holds a very special place in my heart and I have worked so hard to get him to trust me and feel comfortable, and I am so glad to say I have succeeded. Titus and I have a very close bond and I am so proud of how much he has grown! If your cat has similar issues, or other behavioral problems, I am definitely the sitter for you!
I currently live in Secaucus, New Jersey and can drive up to 10 miles in the North Jersey area. I have a lot of experience administering medication such as injections, inhalers, oral medications and topical medications. I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and am happy to wear a mask if that will make my clients more comfortable.
When I am not pet sitting, I am usually singing along to my favorite broadway shows, watching my favorite tv shows or rooting for the Mets.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting on and off for about 10 years but have been doing it full time since June 2022. I have experience working with many different behaviors especially cats that are timid or spicy. I have experience giving medication, including insulin injections and inhalers. Through my experience I feel confident I can handle anything your cat throws at me!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy cat sitting because I love spending time with cats! Cats are so special and I love getting to know their personalities and silly behaviors. All cats deserve top tier care, especially while they’re missing their owners, and it brings me joy knowing I can provide that for them. As a cat mom myself, I know how hard it is to leave your babies, and I am so grateful that owners trust me!

Jeeves loves Amanda. We have her help out with feeding him and cleaning his litter box but mostly he just likes to hang out with her. She is great at communicating any issue that need to be addressed while we are away and we love seeing the pictures she sends in her updates. We will welcome her back any time.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

East Rutherford cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
