Cat Sitting in Parsippany, NJ

As a cat mom of five (ages ranging 6 to 15), a veterinary professional of 8 years, Medical Manager at a large local shelter, and a Professional Pet Care Business Owner, my love for kitties knows no bounds! I love everything about cats: their silliness, love, independence, and constant companionship. In my years as working as a pet care provider, I've been able to be a kitty hospice nurse, give subcutaneous injections and fluids, administer oral and transdermal medications (as well as teach Paw-rents), and put owners' minds at ease with enthusiastic communication. (I speak fluently in cat lady- it's my first language.)

I was the designated cat assistant at our animal hospital and have been able to lovingly handle cats of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and needs...

I was the designated cat assistant at our animal hospital and have been able to lovingly handle cats of all ages, breeds, temperaments, and needs. Truly, nothing fulfills me or excites me more than hanging out with cats all day. My favorite place in the world is in bed surrounded by my four cats. I love being able to share that expert care with as many cats as possible.

Booking with me guarantees clear and expert communication regarding your pet's needs. You will get pictures and updates about your fur babies! I pride myself in my business knowing that I am able to help clients with cat care and any questions they may have.

My knowledge and background as a veterinary assistant makes me better equipped to care for older or more medically needy cats, as well as be able to look out for any signs of possible illness, injury, or alarming behavior. This way, the pet parent will always know what is going on with their baby! I enjoy going the extra mile for pets. Sitters should love and care for cats like they are their own!

I am available most days and during most weekends. I work full time as a medical manager in the vet med department at a local shelter, and pet sit before and after my shifts 🐱

Learn More About Bri

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have had cats since I was born, and have cat sat for over 8 years, with nearly 4 under my professional pet care business, Bebe's Furry Friends. I have experience with elderly cats, sick cats, neonatal kittens, cats in hospice, and everything in between. I am able to give all kinds of medications!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Befriending the kitty kiddos! It feels like an accomplishment when a cat wants to be near you. And even if they don't, I always appreciate being in their presence. I also love forming relationships with clients. They entrust me with their pets, and am so happy to be able to give them the confidence of knowing that all is well when they are away!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My first-ever reservation was with a sassy older orange gentlecat. His name is Oliver, and it took me nine months to earn his favor. He is the coolest dude, and over two years later, I get so excited when his owner messages me for a booking!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have 5: Belle (15), Bennie-Jet (8), Baker (6), and Bender (4) and Danny (4). The loves of my life!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Make sure you do your research. This person will be looking after your animals and home. You want someone who is attentive and goes above and beyond! Experience is always a plus.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I do complimentary meet and greets to learn the kittie's routine. Then after every visit (or once daily for multiple visits a day, whatever the client chooses), owners will get a description of the visit(s) with pictures!

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I am cognizant of where they are in the house (I ALWAYS make it a point to locate every cat in the house and not assume hiders are hiding). I do not leave doors open, make sure all proper outlets are off/unplugged (which and whatever owner prefers), and am able to notice any onset of illness or injury due to my background in veterinary medicine.

Are you usually available during holidays?

yes! I am available most holidays with notice. It will reflect in my appointment calendar, and I am also happy to discuss with clients about specific dates.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My babies love the string toys or catnip filled kicking toys! I prefer those, but think the idea of battery powered toys are great for stimulation as well.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I bring treats to use with owners permission. Cat gogurts work best in my experience! I spray myself with feliway before entering cat homes. I take my time with the kitties, adhering to owner's advice about approaching them. I do multiple meet and greets if needed, and watch the cat's behavior to see how best to handle the situation!

What a wonderful first experience with Bri. We had a really good first meet and greet . I was also concerned with the time in between of being away and not being able to know what was going on at home with my pets . Bri recommended a home camera brand that she uses herself personally for monitoring purposes . I ordered and installed one prior to my vacation and it gave me such a piece of mind . I couldn't believe I have not done this sooner . She was very attentive to my 2 kitties. Sending text updates and photos with each visit. it was so important to find a sitter that has actual experience with giving injectable medication as my older cat has diabetes and requires insulin twice a day. That definitely put my mind at ease. Also her personality A+ she is very warm and attentive sensitive and has a true love of cats .In addition, my senior cat has a hematoma that developed on his right ear. My vet suggests surgery which is super expensive and not the bestoption due to age, diabetes and very tramatic to the pet. Bri gave me several recommendations to go for a second opinion for alternative treatment options. I just returned from the second opinion and this vet was willing to do a non-surgical treatment and resulted in a cost of a few hundred dollars and will cause no harm to my cat.. sending Bree a thousand thank yous from me and my two boys😻😻😘 I definitely will be reserving Bree for future times away from home. One last thank you for taking us on as a new client.😻

Bri is always reliable and very sweet with my kitties. Despite bad weather with flood watches she made sure to get to the kitties (when it was safe of course). She wanted to make sure my one cat got her medication because she truly cares. She kept good contact with me and sent pictures.

Another great experience with Bri. This time with the need to administer some medication in her ears, which was not an issue. Cheetah isn’t super social with strangers but Bri has totally won her over. Love it! Thanks Bri!

Bri is a caring, attentive and reliable caregiver. She gave my girls lots of extra love. She checked with my first before offering them some new treats to try which of course they loved. She even brought them so new toys to play with. She gave me details and updates of how they were doing and lots of pictures. I feel lucky to have found her. I highly recommend her! It is very obvious how much she loves kitties and you will have peace of mind knowing she is there for them!

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Parsippany cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
