What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been doing this for 10 years in Secaucus and another 5 years in New York. I have experience with young and senior cats.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

Learning the cats behavior, playing with the cat and the cat's company. Each cat is so different, so it is fun for me to see their personality.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I don't have a favorite reservation, all cats are special and I can't just choose one. I do love great communication between me and the owners.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

Binky, Shadow are my cats. It used to be Binky and Panther. But Panther passed away in January 2023. I still miss her dearly. Recently, about 2 months ago, a grey cat appeared by my side door. Which was very unusual. No stray cats come by me. But this cat kept coming to my door as it was wondering if it lived there. I monitored the cat for a few days, checked all social media websites in my town, the shelters, the vets, no-one was looking for this cat. I decided to take her in. Her name is Shadow and is now the little sister of Binky. Binky is 14yrs and Shadow is 2yrs.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Look for a sitter in your area and a sitter that is willing to do a virtual meet and great.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Making sure I know all the ins and outs about their cat. Because the costumers cat is my priority. Also I want to make sure what their vet's contact information is and of course the costumers information.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

No one else is allowed in the house (and yard if there is one.) Respect for the costumers property and the cat's home. Making sure that if they are friendly with their neighbors, to have their information as well, in case of emergency.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I am available on holidays. You can check my calendar for all available options. I have cats myself, and if I can, I like to be home.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I like the cat toys with a wand, because this way I can slowly introduce myself to the cat. Also the cat can get some exercise this way. I like the laser point as well.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Just give them space. Talk in my normal voice and make sure I don't go in their space where they feel safe. I'll keep a distance, until I see the cat become more and more comfortable. I know it can take time.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
