What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have looked after and cared for cats for a longer time between my familys/friends cats but I’ve been cat sitting for clients for 6 months as of January ‘26
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Spending time with the cats and seeing them get more and more comfortable with me around. Whether it’s curling up in my lap or chasing a laser pointer I love it all!
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
My favorite cat sitting reservation so far involved a really cuddly and energetic ragdoll kitten. He is super adorable, would always give me a friendly greeting and had a lot of pep when it came for playtime.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have a 7 yr old black cat named Cole and I love her so much! She gets spoiled by me.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
If you think I’d be a good choice to look after your kitty/kitties please reach out. The first step would be a meet and greet where I would meet them and we can go over the specifics of the sitting. I’ll take detailed notes and clarify anything unclear to make sure I can give you pet the best care while you are gone.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am very careful with entry/exit to the home, as I know some cats hang around doors. I am mindful to pick up any toys that may have been split open/etc….your cats are my main focus from start to finish.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I typically have availability during the holidays…if you’re looking for a sitter feel free to reach out and check (I try to respond quickly).
What is your favorite cat toy?
My cat is a big fan of tubes….she loves hanging out inside them and pouncing out at toys (her favorite is a banana shaped catnip toy).
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
If a cat is timid or anxious I will go slow and respect his space. If permitted I’ll try to use. A favorite treat or toy as an olive branch.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
