What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
My experience has mainly been in participating in fostering and socializing cats that have been injured, abused, abandoned, or who need a safe, happy place to be until permanent homes could be found. When working with feral kitties, patience was a must! I have over 15 years of experience in doing this.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I like knowing that I am giving the best possible to care to someone's family member. My goal is to care for their baby the way I would want someone to care for mine.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would encourage all cat parents to look for a “cat person,” not just a pet sitter. Ask about their experience specifically with shy or tempermental cats. A good cat sitter understands that with cats body language, boundaries, and routine matter. A good cat sitter will also understand that every cat should be treated like the member of the family it is, with respect and love.

I offer flexible availability on all major holidays so you can enjoy your holiday with peace of mind and confidence.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love toys that allow me to interact with the cat. The "fishing pole" toys are my favorite because that is where you really see their personality and instincts come to life!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I allow them to set the pace while offering gentle encouragement in the form of treats, pets/scratches, and play time. Respecting their space but still letting them know I am there is also very helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
