What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for over a decade! Whether it’s neighbors, friends, fellow vet students, or the rover app, I’ve worked with so many families to make sure their cats are in the best hands. As a vet student who’s also worked in different medical settings, I have extensive experience working with cats of all temperaments and care needs!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 2 cats! Spyro, a 6 year old DSH and Winnie, a 3 year old DSH. Both were adopted from shelters and traveled from Indiana to Long Island to be my emotional support animals for vet school! Spyro has idiopathic megacolon so he’s on a special diet and lifelong medication, so I have experience with caring for animals with health issues that need extra attention!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I like to spend extra time letting the cats get used to my presence by sitting near them, offering treats and toys, and talking to them softly so they understand that I am there to take care of them! I’ve worked with a a handful of shy, reserved, and scared cats that have eventually warmed up to me after days and weeks of consistent care. I always recommend either longer drop-in visits or overnights to allow for maximum time spent together!

Oh my gosh, Victoria is the absolute best pet sitter you could ever ask for. I am the most neurotic cat mom around and she is the only one who can ease my fears. She will FaceTime me, send me photos and my cats (who are very picky, I might add) love to spend time with her and I think that is the most telling part of all. She keeps everything very clean and I know they will always get the best care with her. My cats are happy when I come home and relaxed :) I would never trust anyone else to care for my babies!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
