I’ve been surrounded by cats my entire life. Twelve years ago, my family and I adopted Igor. We named him after the legendary composer Igor Stravinsky, and he has been our constant companion ever since.
During my university years, I had the privilege of fostering cats and caring for post-surgery felines. Stray cats always seem to find their way to my door, and I never hesitate to take them in and help them find loving forever homes.
I previously worked as an academic and architectural restoration specialist in Mexico. Everything changed when I moved to L.A., which is when I began cat sitting professionally. I moved to NYC in 2024 and am currently based in Queens.

I deeply respect each cat’s unique personality and quirks, and I always strive to adapt to their individual needs and boundaries.
I am available for meet-and-greets, preferably on weekends after midday. I am also vaccinated against COVID-19 and take all necessary precautions to keep you and your furry friend safe.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I started on February 21, 2023, in Los Angeles, CA, and continued after moving to New York. I have been living in Queens since 2024.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
How different each cat is, and how rewarding it is to get to know their unique quirks and personalities. Bonding with the regular kitties has also been very fulfilling.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
I took care of two Devon Rex cats while the client was abroad for the holidays and she needed an emergency cat sitter. The whole experience felt like an adventure. I really appreciated the client’s smooth system, and the kitties were playful, with wonderful personalities.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
His name is Igor. He is my family’s cat. He is currently in Mexico, where I am from, and he loves to eat.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Go with your gut, whoever feels right during the meet and greet is probably the best fit to take care of your kitty and your home.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
Each process has been different. Some are emergency bookings that require a lot of flexibility, while others are more structured: clients reserve in advance, we do a meet-and-greet, and I follow up with the visits.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
When entering a home, I take my shoes off for hygiene, and I lock the door once I’m inside. I never let cats go outdoors. Once I’m done, I make sure the stove is off and the faucets are closed, and I lock the door behind me. At times, I’ve even gone back to double-check that the door was properly closed 😅
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am available during most holidays. You can check my exact availability in the calendar or text me directly if you have any questions. I sometimes close certain dates, but for returning clients or emergencies, I can make an exception depending on the situation. Feel free to reach out anytime.
What is your favorite cat toy?
We buy our cats very expensive and complex toys, but I’ve noticed that most cats prefer playing with simple things like yarn, a ribbon, or even a crinkly receipt. I’m quite crafty, so I often end up making toys on the spot, and most cats really enjoy them.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
For shy kitties, I always respect their boundaries. If they prefer to be left alone, I simply allow them the space they need. I complete the necessary tasks, and if they choose to come closer, I feel joyful and grateful. For particularly anxious cats, I avoid petting them to prevent overstimulation.

With elderly cats (mine are 16 and 17), things can change quickly and it gives me so much peace of mind to have Patricia there when I can't be. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Hollis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Patricia was simple great! If you are worried about leaving your fur-friends while going away, she is the answer. Very trusted person, she took care of our kitties, while also looking after our apartment. She did both day visits and overnight stays and our 2 cats were not stressed and found a friend in Patricia!! It was so amazing to come back home and seeing the cats are happy, the floor is spotless and plants fully watered!
